This coffee comes from small plots around a village called Boreta in the highland area of Arbegona. This village benefits from the very high altitude of 2200 MASL. Coffee here is the main cash crop, though they also grow many other crops such as sugar cane, false banana, and various spices.

The coffee cherries are sorted based on density and quality by floating them in large water tanks. After flotation, the cherries are depulped before fermenting them for about 24-36 hours. The cherries are then washed to remove the mucilage and are transferred to raised beds with mesh nets. Here the coffee is rotated every 30 minutes for even dryness and to control the fermentation process. The average drying time is about 12-15 days depending on the temperature and humidity.

Arbegona is one of the 30 districts in Ethiopia. Nestled in the Sidama Zone, Arbegona benefits from ideal conditions for coffee cultivation, including high altitudes, fertile soil, and ample sunlight. The region's coffee is characterised by distinct peach and apricot-like flavour notes.

Expect tasting notes of Limoncello, peach, soft floral.

Recommended brew methods:

Espresso, filter, cafetiere, Aeropress, stovetop
